Similar in concept and function to the Recoton SP-2, this preamp features better specs, better fit and finish, and very nice retail packaging suitable for gifting. Additional features include a ground wire terminal, gold-plated connectors, power indicator LED and a limited lifetime warranty. This is an excellent choice for use with component stereos, home theatre systems and better-quality PC sound cards.

I researched the other pre-amps in this price range, and sorely wanted not to have to deal with noise or any other irritation. I just wanted the turntable to work.
This unit did the job perfectly -- no noise, simple hook-up. It's not quite as cheap as the others in this range, but, trust me, it's worth it to have a unit that works the first time, flawlessly, right from the package. |

| Ordered and got this as advertised!! The box doesn't say this has a ground terminal but upon opening it, it does in fact have a ground terminal! Unable to test it as I got this as a gift, but the vendor shipped this to me in 2 days with standard shipping! |

Very small, grounded unit with low to no noise susceptibility. Has done wonderfully for archiving. Conceals nicely behind my AV rack.
Gold plated plugs with all hookups uncluded. Also, very affordable. |

| but my unit adds a lot of hum, even when grounded. I read the reviews on this before purchasing, which said it didn't add hum. Not the case with the one I received. |

| Got this for my mother-in-law so she could listen to her LPs again. With it I could connect her old but functional turntable to her Bose Wave Radio. Easy to set up- all needed cables are provided- and works fine for her. Not adequate if you want to rip albums- I could not figure out how to kill the hum. I hooked up all the grounding connections I could. |
